Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Anzen Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Anzen Drives mobile application and the services connected to it (together, the "Service"). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Anzen Insurance Broking Pvt Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. Our registered address is 102, Hubtown Viva, Shankarwadi, Jogshwari (East), Mumbai - 400 060 and you can reach us at support@anzen.global.

  1. The short version
    Anzen Drives is an app for finding, recording and sharing scenic driving routes. To do that we need your location while you are driving, an account so your routes are saved to you, and whatever you choose to post. We do not sell your personal information, we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not run advertising. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from inside the app.
  2. Information you give us
    • Account details: Your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or with Apple we receive your name and email address from that provider. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see the private relay address Apple gives us.
    • Profile information: Your profile photo, bio, chosen flair, and the vehicles you add to your garage, including make, model, year and any photos of them.
    • Content you post: Routes and their descriptions, stopovers, photographs, comments, ratings and votes, community names and rules, and anything else you type or upload.
    • Your connections: The people you follow, your friends, your community memberships, and the routes you save.
    • Messages to us: Anything you send to support, and any report you file about another user or a piece of content.
  3. Information collected automatically
    • Precise location: While you are recording a drive, the app collects your GPS position, speed, heading and altitude in order to draw the route, calculate distance and time, and produce statistics for that drive. With your permission this continues while the app is in the background or the screen is locked, because a recording that stops when you put the phone down is not useful. Recording only runs when you start a drive and stops when you end it.
    • Motion and orientation data: Accelerometer and gyroscope readings, used to calculate cornering and braking forces shown during a drive.
    • Live position during a group drive: If you join a group drive, your current position is shared with the other participants of that group drive for as long as it is running, so the map can show where everyone is. It stops when the group drive ends or when you leave it.
    • Device and log data: Device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, and technical logs recording errors and requests to our servers. IP addresses are used for security and abuse prevention and are not used to build a marketing profile.
    • Push notification token: A device token issued by Apple, stored so we can send the notifications you have enabled.
    • Photo and camera access: Only when you choose to attach a photo. We do not scan or index your photo library

  5. What we never do
    • We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
    • We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and the app does not ask for permission to do so.
    • We do not use your location for advertising.
    • We do not use your photographs, routes or comments to train any general purpose AI model, and we do not permit our providers to do so.

    We also share information with other users where you have asked us to, which covers anything you post publicly, your public profile, and your position inside a group drive you have joined. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  7. Automated route and tour suggestions
    When you ask the app to generate a route or suggest stops, the start and end points and the preferences you chose are sent to Anthropic, which operates a large language model service, so that suggestions can be produced. Your name, email address and account identifier are not sent. Anthropic does not use this information to train its models. Suggestions are exactly that. Always check that a suggested road is open, legal and appropriate for your vehicle before driving it.
  8. Keeping your information
    • Account and profile information is kept for as long as your account is open.
    • Routes, photos, comments and other content are kept until you delete them or delete your account.
    • Drive recordings and location history are kept until you delete the drive or your account.
    • Live position data inside a group drive is transient. It is relayed to other participants and not stored after the group drive ends.
    • Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.
    • Records of reports, moderation decisions and account suspensions are kept for up to two years so that repeat behaviour can be recognised.
    • Where we are required to keep information for tax, accounting or legal reasons we keep it for the period the law requires.
  9. Deleting your account and your data
    You can delete your account at any time from inside the app under Settings > Account > Delete Account, or at anzen.global/delete-account, or by emailing support@anzen.global . Deletion removes your profile, routes, photographs, comments, votes, ratings, saved routes, vehicles, friendships and push tokens within thirty days.
  10. Your rights
    Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. EEA/UK users are protected by GDPR and can complain to supervisory authorities. California users have CCPA rights. Email support@anzen.global to exercise your rights.
  11. Permissions you control on your device
    Location, motion, camera, photo library and notification access can each be turned off at any time in iOS Settings under Anzen Drives.
  12. Where information is held
    The Service is operated from the United States. For EEA/UK transfers we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
  13. Security
    Traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data is encrypted at rest. Authentication handled by Firebase with hashed and salted credentials.
  14. Children
    You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen.
  15. Changes to this policy
    We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email.
